CDM Smith Sr. Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina
CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Wastewater Project Manager to join our Raleigh, North Carolina operations. We are looking for someone who has excellent client interaction skills and can manage and lead planning and design teams for large wastewater treatment and collection and water treatment and distribution system projects in North Carolina. In this position you will manage multi-million dollar water/wastewater projects, manage project teams, and develop the scope and budget for projects. CDM Smith has been providing engineering services to the North Carolina market for over 30 years. Our services have spanned the areas of modeling, master planning studies, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, and storm water facilities.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to our clients' mission by:
Managing multi-discipline projects within the water/wastewater/conveyance engineering and construction sectors from early concept development through detailed design and construction
Planning and conducting work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
Serving as a leader of project teams and mentor to junior staff, including the coordination and reviewing of project assignments
Effectively working with key technical specialists, project team members, and delivery managers
Preparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets and schedules
Providing oversight/administration of field construction work, including engineering services during construction
Assisting CDM Smith Client Service Leaders in business development pursuits for water, wastewater, and conveyance projects
Being active in the water/wastewater industry, keeping abreast of emerging technologies, research and development opportunities, and conference/committee participation in professional societies
Sr. Water/Wastewater Project Manager
CDM Smith Employment Type:
-Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related engineering field
At least 10 years of water/wastewater project experience since Bachelor's degree
Registration as P.E. (NC preferred or the ability to obtain within one year)
-Current Project Manger certification (either PMP, CCM, or DBIA) or ability to receive within one year of start date)
Previous experience and demonstrated performance in the project design and delivery of medium and large multi-disciplined wastewater collection and water distribution system projects
Strong communication skills with internal and external clients
Experience as a leader, mentor, and problem solver with a determination for excellence
-Experience on municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Raleigh area
- Masters Degree preferred
