CDM Smith Structural Engineer 2 in Dallas, Texas
Assisting senior design drafters in preparation of contract drawings.
Preparing and checking structural analysis and design computations for reinforced concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, and aluminum structures in water and wastewater facilities.
Checking contract drawings and submittals of contractor shop drawings for structures described above.
Assisting senior engineers in technical evaluations of materials and products.
Assist senior engineers in field investigations of existing structures and preparation of reports.
Structural Engineer 2
CDM Smith Employment Type:
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred (preference to structural emphasis).
Position requires registration as an Engineer-in-Training.
Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD) expected.
Familiarity with structural analysis programs such as MATHCAD, STADD, PCA column, PCA mats, and PCAslab highly desirable.
Candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills.
