Job Description:

The Deputy Chief of Party is primarily responsible for overseeing the A-E design effort and heading the local technical reviews team throughout the TO duration. In addition, s/he will be responsible for mobilizing different experts, such as surveyors, geotechnical experts, environmentalists, structural/mechanical/ electrical engineers, and other required experts for site selection, preparation of designs or adaptation of government-approved designs, and provide design change

24support during construction, when and if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or other relevant degrees with commensurate professional experience is required

20 years of professional architect-engineering experience with at least 10 years of experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment plants and other related projects;

Five years of professional experience managing architect-engineer projects in Egypt or in a similar developing country context

Demonstrated high level engineering design skills and understanding of design codes

Skilled in identifying and incorporating new technologies used locally

Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic is a plus; and 8.Ability to frequently travel to remote areas
