Job Description:


The Senior Software Developer for Redshift is responsible for developing and maintaining Data warehouse

and ETL data integration solutions between Oracle Apps and several other third-party applications

and Amazon Redshift.

This individual will adhere to the organization’s formal best practices, change management and system

development lifecycle.

This individual must be self-driven, team player, and a quick learner, and possess excellent verbal and

written communication skills.

Senior Software Developer - Redshift

The candidate will participate in complete application development cycle in building Integration solutions

between Oracle EBusiness R12 & 11i application modules and several other third party applications and

Amazon Redshift.


•Work with Technical Leads, understand technical requirements, and develop data warehouse integration solutions.

•Perform data replication using Attunity from Application DBs into Amazon Redshift

•Take ownership of development, unit-testing and code migration

•Perform unit, Integration and System testing of the developed components

•Migrate components across development, test and production environments

•Provide Testing, Implementation and Production support

•Coordinate development and troubleshooting activities towards issue resolution in a fast-paced team environment.

•Demonstrated understanding of data warehouse design patterns such as dimensional modeling,

Logical data warehouse, data marts, data lakes, integrations and other components

Minimum Qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent.

•7 plus years of focused database development experience specifically with Amazon Redshift

•Demonstrate Knowledge of AWS architecture and experience in design, development and

performance tuning of Redshift

•Experience in successfully implementing Data Integration from on-premise databases to

Amazon Redshift

•Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing and supporting Data Warehouse in Amazon


•Experience with PostgresSQL and ETL development and data mapping methodologies

•Experience with Data replication using Attunity into Amazon Redshift

•Strong understanding of database schemas and ability to interpret data models

•Experience with Java

•Basic understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems and Shell scripting.

•Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills

•Must be a team player

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with ETL tools like Informatica or Talend or ODI is highly desirable

•Experience with data replication using Attunity a plus

•Analytics, Reporting & BigData exposure a plus

•Working experience in on-shore off-shore models in matrix organization structure

•Good to have exposure to SVN, ServieNow, release management, change management and productivity tools

•Experience and understanding of Oracle EBS R12 functionality in HRMS, Oracle Projects, Oracle Core Financials and P2P.
